From Gretsch:

"Gretsch Quilt Classics are stylish renditions of classic vintage models, reborn with stunning highly figured quilt maple. A sophisticated rendition of the original masterpiece, the G6134TQM-59 Limited Quilt Classic Penguin™ combines opulent aesthetics with period-accurate features and appointments from the golden age of electric guitars. Satisfying eyes and ears with its golden tones and gleaming looks, this rare bird comes alive in the player's hands, singing with its distinctive voice at every strum.

The G6134TGQM-59 features a highly figured quilt maple top with chambered mahogany body, which magnifies harmonic richness by letting air resonate between the top and body for livelier and more articulate tone. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer the G6134TQM-59’s beautifully figured top is further enhanced by the stunning Forge Glow finish, while the body is accentuated with a rich mahogany stain, making for a refined contrast that’s brimming with classic Gretsch style and vibe.

A faithful reproduction of the original “Ful-Fidelity” Filter’Tron pickups invented by the legendary Ray Butts, these pickups are made according to Ray's personal notes and designs, and TV Jones' extensive multi-decade analysis of original Filter'Tron pickups. They produce a tighter bass response and slightly more top end than modern Filter’Tron pickups, and the absence of wax potting results in a more open, three-dimensional sound with truly unique sparkle and exceptional dynamics.

Designed for pure tone and slick, comfortable playing feel, this guitar features the classic appointments Gretsch fans desire - gold jeweled control knobs, aged white binding with multi-ply purfling, Mother of Pearl Neo-Classic™ thumbnail inlays, gold vintage thick plexi pickguard with ghosted Gretsch logo and Penguin graphic, Bigsby B3GB vibrato tailpiece, Space Control™ bridge with pinned ebony base, bone nut, and Grover Imperial tuning machines. A resurrected blast from the past with elegantly refined style and sound, the G6134TQM-59 is sure to satisfy any devotee of Gretsch's golden era."

Testimonials

We had a GREAT experience. Raina helped us and we were there buying a guitar for my daughter. We didn't know anything and she was mindful of budget, never made us feel stupid and explained everything clearly. I would happily refer friends.

I took a student of mine to get his first guitar...a PRS SE Custom 24. We drove 3 hours to the guitar mecca of Wisconsin. Big shout out to Brett, Jordan, Christian, Brandon and Dave. I also took my student to see the collection upstairs and Dave was kind enough to answer some trivia questions concerning the PRS collection. Great experience, worth the travel. Thanks and Rawk on!
