Orange OR50 Head

In 1972 Orange launched a British guitar amp that went on to define the classic Orange sound. Years later it was dubbed the ‘Pics Only’ due the use of pictures and the absence of any text on the front panel. Although it is not a reissue, the OR50H owes more than a nod to this vintage legend in its cosmetics, tone and even the construction techniques adopted. Featuring a traditional single channel with a three stage gain section, the real weapon in the OR50′s arsenal is the HF Drive control. This is two controls in one. As you turn the control clockwise you will hear the power amp presence increase while adding an extra dimension of power amp gain. The foot defeatable master volume makes this truly one of the most versatile single channel amps ever created.

Fender ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb

1968 was a transitional year for Fender amps, with tone that was still pure Fender but a look that was brand new. With a silver and turquoise front panel and classy aluminum “drip edge” grille cloth trim, the Princeton Reverb received a fresh new face as it remained the perfect recording and gigging amp. Small, light and moderately powered, it produced big tube tone, with world class Fender reverb and vibrato effects. For countless guitarists ever since, the Princeton Reverb has been the go to amp for classic Fender sound. The ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb Amp pays tribute to the classic look, sound and performance of Fender’s late ’60s “silverface” amps. In a special twist, a modified tone circuit gives modern players greater tonal flexibility with pedals, and the amp’s reduced negative feedback gives greater touch sensitivity and quicker onset of overdrive. The ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb’s single 10” Celestion® TEN 30 speaker also delivers a more distinctively rock ‘n’ roll flavor.

Fender EC Vibro-Champ

In a historic collaboration, Fender introduces its first artist signature amplifiers-EC Series amps bearing the name of legendary guitarist Eric Clapton.

Clapton recorded some of his biggest hits with a tweed Champ; a late 1950s practice amp and Fender classic prized by countless pros for its great low-output sound and easy-to-record performance. He still uses one today, and we’ve answered his call for a special model with several distinctive features by introducing the EC Vibro-Champ. Built to Clapton’s own exacting specifications and handmade in the United States, it’s a fascinating variation on the ’57 Champ designed with a ’50s-era output tube bias tremolo (which produced a more throbbing pulse than later Fender tremolo circuits) and a switchable power attenuator (reduces speaker output). It’s a must for Clapton fans and guitarists who want the ultimate in low-power tube performance.

Features include hand-wired all-tube circuitry on eyelet board with premium components; circuit based on late-’50s Fender Champ amp model 5F1 (about 5 watts); tremolo speed control and footswitch jack (footswitch optional); single 8” Weber® Signature speaker with alnico magnet for dynamic, sensitive response; Groove Tubes® 6V6GT output tube, two 12AX7 preamp tubes and 5Y3GT rectifier tube; Schumacher custom transformers; internal speaker disconnect (allows use of external 4-ohm speaker enclosure); finger-joined solid pine enclosure for warm, resonant tone; lacquered tweed covering with vintage-style brown/gold grille cloth and leather strap handle. Built to Clapton’s own exacting specifications and handmade in the United States, it’s a fascinating variation on the ’57 Deluxe designed with a ’50s-era output tube bias tremolo (which produced a more throbbing pulse than later Fender tremolo circuits) and a switchable power attenuator (reduces speaker output). A pinnacle of personally inspired amp tone for stage and studio alike, it’s a must for Clapton fans and guitarists who want the ultimate in tube performance.

Fender ’59 Reissue Tweed Bassman

The ’50s Fender Bassman was the pro bassist’s answer to amplifying a great new invention: the Fender Precision Bass® guitar. This powerful 50-watt rig could easily compete with the common instrumentation of the day: horns, piano, four-piece drum kit with calfskin heads, and maybe even an electric guitar through a nice, new 10-watt amp! By the ’60s and ’70s, the original all-tube “Tweed” 4x10 Bassman was popular with rock, country and blues guitarists as a reliably great-sounding and easy-to-use guitar amp. Even some emerging British amp designers of the day copied its circuitry for use in their most celebrated designs.

In the 1990s, Fender released an affordable reissue of the now-collectible ’59 Bassman amplifier to massive acclaim. Many guitarists, tired of experimenting with preamps, equalizers, and effects racks, rediscovered the simple pleasure of plugging into a Fender tube amp. The Bassman’s wide stage coverage, touch-sensitive dynamics and full-frequency “swirl” make it the perfect vehicle for building a great tone with almost any guitar or effect. The reissue Bassman continues to be a staple of the Fender guitar amp line to this day.

The new ’59 Bassman  LTD is enhanced with:
• Genuine lacquered Tweed covering.
• Finger-joined pine cabinet for woody, resonant tone.
• Original spec 5AR4 rectifier tube for natural compression when playing hard.
• Internal bias pot makes it easier to experiment with various output tubes.
• Two GT-6L6 Groove Tube™ output tubes.
• Three improved 12AX7 preamp tubes.
• Fitted cover.

Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue

Fender unveiled its “Tweed” series amps to great success and acclaim in 1993. The concept: What if a great old collectable 1950s Deluxe or Bassman® was customized with channel switching and reverb?

Behold the Reissue Blues Deluxe—a vintage-style tube amp with “boutique” tone at a great price that many a pro rock, country and blues player has used to superb effect. While its newer cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, has many modern refinements, more and more enthusiasts continue to request the warm tone, unique circuitry, classic features and sharp look of the original version.

Accordingly, the Reissue Blues Deluxe sends 40 watts of juice into a single 12” Special Design Eminence® speaker, fueled by two  6L6  output tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Its two channels, “normal” (with bright switch) and “drive,” are voiced for classic blues, country and rock; other features include Fender spring reverb, an effects loop and two-button channel footswitch. The great look includes tweed covering, “chicken head” pointer knobs and a chrome control panel.
