Orange OR50 Head

In 1972 Orange launched a British guitar amp that went on to define the classic Orange sound. Years later it was dubbed the ‘Pics Only’ due the use of pictures and the absence of any text on the front panel. Although it is not a reissue, the OR50H owes more than a nod to this vintage legend in its cosmetics, tone and even the construction techniques adopted. Featuring a traditional single channel with a three stage gain section, the real weapon in the OR50′s arsenal is the HF Drive control. This is two controls in one. As you turn the control clockwise you will hear the power amp presence increase while adding an extra dimension of power amp gain. The foot defeatable master volume makes this truly one of the most versatile single channel amps ever created.

Orange Crush CR60C 1-12 Combo

Orange have spent years researching, developing and testing a solid state amplifier which they are truly proud of. The Orange design team felt it was important to keep these amplifiers simple and not bombard the player with hundreds of on board features. The result is an analogue, solid state, two channel (dirty and clean) amplifier based on the prestigious Rockerverb range. The dirty channel use a circuit based on four stages of gain and a three band EQ which provide the player with a wide pallet of over driven and distorted sounds. The clean channel is based on a two stage, two band EQ design, that gives the player a clean but warm sound which when cranked begins to break up, just like a Rockerverb! Although simplistic in its design, they have also given the amplifiers a transparent effects loop, allowing you to plug in your favorite pedals to open the amplifier up to a wide variety of situations and playing styles. Finally, the amplifier contains an inbuilt digital reverb, providing the player with a natural sounding spring, hall or plate reverb. The Crush CR60C has been designed to look and sound the part be it in a rehearsal, in a living room or on the stage.

1968 was a transitional year for Fender amps, with tone that was still pure Fender but a look that was brand new. With a silver and turquoise front panel and classy aluminum “drip edge” grille cloth trim, the Princeton Reverb received a fresh new face as it remained the perfect recording and gigging amp. Small, light and moderately powered, it produced big tube tone, with world class Fender reverb and vibrato effects. For countless guitarists ever since, the Princeton Reverb has been the go to amp for classic Fender sound. The ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb Amp pays tribute to the classic look, sound and performance of Fender’s late ’60s “silverface” amps. In a special twist, a modified tone circuit gives modern players greater tonal flexibility with pedals, and the amp’s reduced negative feedback gives greater touch sensitivity and quicker onset of overdrive. The ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb’s single 10” Celestion® TEN 30 speaker also delivers a more distinctively rock ‘n’ roll flavor.
