Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice Number 30 1959 Les Paul “Gabby”

“Gabby”, a shortened take on her nickname “The Gibson Appraisal ‘Burst”, is among the unlikeliest rarities in the lore of vintage guitars; exceptionally clean with a beautiful top and a finish that’s retained an amazing amount of its original red in her factory applied Heritage Cherry Sunburst. The story of an original Gibson Les Paul that’s been all but hermetically sealed for over a half century spreads like wildfire through the vintage community. By the time Vic DaPra decided it was time to let some other lucky soul own her for a while, Gabby’s suitors were many and standing in line around the world. Ultimately, she was entrusted to Ronny Proler, another respected vintage collector, known for his generous entrustment of his prized collection to a network of active players. When Ronny finally had the chance to play Gabby himself, he was ecstatic. “Gabby has incredible flame, overall feel and that “early primitive” tone that we all dream about. Just a stunning example of an original ‘Burst in every aspect.” – Ronny Proler. A limited run of up to 300 aged guitars will be built. Here are the details: Appraisel ‘Burst finish, Serial number CC30A-146, Figured Maple top with a vintage carved dish, New finish that uses a four step wet sanding process with up to 1200 grit for a smoother period correct finish, One piece Mahogany body, Aniline Dye used on the body and neck, Accurate vintage color fingerboard and body binding that is a darker Cream to match the original 50’s era binding, Hide Glue neck fit, Single layer Indian Rosewood fingerboard, New Historic truss rod assembly without the tube surround, Alnico 3 Custom Bucker bridge and neck pickups, ABR-1 bridge with lightweight Aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Bumble Bee tone caps, Reissue deluxe Kluson tuning keys, 8.2 pounds, With hardshell case

Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice Number 13 Gordon Kennedy 1959 Les Paul “The Spoonful Burst”

When Gordon Kennedy received his original ’59 Les Paul in 2000, it was the realization of a personal dream. Not only was Gordon holding one of the most sought after and rare guitars in the world, but he also held one with a deep legend of musical heritage, popular music and ownership by a cultural icon. What he held was the sole guitar that had accompanied the musical journey of John Sebastian, best known for a brilliant and colorful career as the front man of The Lovin’ Spoonful. In this very special guitar’s memories are a string of hit songs including Do You Believe in Magic?, Nashville Cats and Welcome Back, the theme song for the hit TV show, Welcome Back Kotter. A limited run of up to 300 guitars will be built and each will come with a Tie Dye dust cover and a copy of the hand written letter from John Sebastian that details the guitars history. Here are the details: Dirty Lemon finish, Serial number CC13A-176, Figured Maple top, One piece Mahogany body, Aniline Dye used on the body and neck, Accurate vintage color fingerboard and body binding that is a darker Cream to match the original 50’s era binding, Hide Glue neck fit, Single layer Rosewood fingerboard, New Historic truss rod assembly without the tube surround, Custom Bucker bridge and neck pickups with Alnico III magnets, ABR-1 bridge with lightweight Aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Bumble Bee tone caps, Kluson “Deluxe” Green tuning keys, 8.6 pounds, With hardshell case

Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar

Multiple colors or weights available

Fender is proud to introduce the Johnny Marr signature Jaguar. Marr is best known, of course, as the strikingly dynamic and influential anti-hero guitarist arranger all around musical wunderkind behind the Manchester quartet the Smiths, which virtually redefined and ruled U.K. pop throughout the 1980′s. A master of melody, layering and texture, Marr has always brought his own instantly identifiable ringing, jangling genius to the proceedings, as he has done in post Smiths stints with The The, Electronic, the Pretenders, and Johnny Marr and the Healers, and to the present with Modest Mouse, the Cribs, and innumerable guest appearances. Here are the details: Available in Olympic White, Sherwood Green Metallic, and Metallic KO, Alder body, Custom shaped Maple neck that is based on Johnny’s ’65 Jaguar with a 7.25” radius Rosewood fingerboard and vintage size frets, Custom wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr bridge and neck pickups, Four position blade switch with in parallel and in series switching options, Jaguar bridge with the Mustang saddles and a vintage style “floating” tremelo, Universal bright switch and a bright switch for blade switch position number four, With the custom G&G with blue crushed velvet interior hardshell case
