Gibson Montana Western Classic Pre War J-200

During the mid 1930’s, Ray Whitley, one of the original singing cowboys, approached Gibson to build a custom acoustic. The result was the first J-200 in 1937 that Whitley used exclusively for many years, and that is now displayed at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Gibson’s Custom Western Classic J-200 is a painstaking recreation of that celebrated guitar. Here are the details: Sunburst, Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Jumbo body style, AAA Sitka Spruce top, Hand scalloped and radiused bracing, Double Ring Rosette, AAA Rosewood back and sides, Rolled edge Ebony fingerboard with the Mother of Pearl Block inlays on a Maple neck, Period correct Gibson script logo and the historic Flower Pot headstock inlay, With hardshell case
