Gibson Custom Shop Collector’s Choice Number 26 1959 Les Paul “Whitford ‘Burst”

Unwavering: a solid word that voices commitment to achievement regardless of how difficult the challenge and how long it may take to succeed. It’s one of the things that make the 1959 Les Paul and Brad Whitford have in common. Both the introduction of the ’59 Les Paul and the early days of Aerosmith were challenges to say the least. However, in both cases, time proved that commitment can outwait opinion and that talent and craft are undeniable. When Brad Whitford offered up his original 1959 Les Paul to join the elite company of Collector’s Choice guitars, it resonated on many levels. A limited run of up to 300 aged guitars will be built. Here are the details: Aged Whitford ‘Burst finish, Serial number CC26A-005, Figured Eastern Maple top, One piece Mahogany body, Aniline Dye used on the body and neck, Accurate vintage color fingerboard and body binding that is a darker Cream to match the original 50’s era binding, Hide Glue neck fit, Single layer Rosewood fingerboard, New Historic truss rod assembly without the tube surround, Custom Bucker bridge and neck pickups, ABR-1 bridge with lightweight Aluminum stopbar tailpiece, Bumble Bee tone caps, Kluson “Deluxe” Green tuning keys, 8.6 pounds, With hardshell case
